At the Women’s Pelvic Health & Continence Center, women with pelvic floor disorders have access to expert, innovative and compassionate care from Suffolk County’s largest team of specialists in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.
Stony Brook Medicine’s Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Urology and Surgery have formed a new, highly specialized, state-of-the-art practice to give women access to the expertise of several teams in a single location. Our highly individualized, highly specialized approach considers each woman’s specific needs and provides treatment options that are appropriate to her personal situation. Compassion combined with the latest treatment options define our care, which is delivered by urogynecologists and urologists all specially trained in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery.
The Women’s Pelvic Health & Continence Center offers treatment for:

Our team of urogynecologists, urologists, colorectal surgeons and Pelvic Floor physical therapists provide personalized, multi-dimensional treatment options, including:

- Advanced gynecologic procedures
- Neuromodulation (Interstim/PTNS)
- Botox bladder injections
- Non-mesh alternatives to incontinence/prolapse
Through the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) program, a multi-disciplinary team (including anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurse practitioners, physicians, assistants, nurses, pharmacists and social workers) will work with you to ensure that you are getting the best care, both before and after any surgical procedure. Our ultimate goal is to have you back to your normal lifestyle as quickly as possible.
